The Great Myr Debate Settled by Mark Rosewater
prsntypething: I really need an answer to this, my group and I have been debating this since the first mirodin block came out so please tell us once and for all... Is myr pronounced "mer" like merfolk or "meer" like meerkat?
Mark Rosewater: Meer as in “rhymes with deer”.
Me: I didn't know this one was up for debate, but I guess I can see it now. Just not "mer;" I understand "Mire." Although I can certainly see how a lot of names in Magic could be imagined one way by R&D and pronounced another by the masses. Like Garruk - Gah-rook or Gar-uck? Ulvenwald or Ulwenvald (personally, I prefer the latter)? Maybe these should just be settled in the rulings sections for cards, lol.

And I am a bit upset. What was once a casual friendly format in which any card was legal, has turned into a competitive format with a banned list. I for one will be ignoring this list….

"How Many Decks" Answers
Recently I asked how many Commander decks people had. I got 8 responses, and along with my own numbers and my friend’s at CastFromExile, that’s 10. Not exactly a decent sample size, but it’ll have to do. I’d like to look at the numbers:
Me: 3 (just finished Glissa and played it for the first time Thursday!), though 4 if I won the lottery because I could justify another....
How Many Commander Decks Do You Have?
I’d love to get a consensus on this. I’ve heard anywhere from “None, I just borrow from my friends” to someone who has over 20.
For me, I have 2 finished and 1 in the works, which should be finalized sometime in December. So I have 3 Commander decks. How many do you have?
